Going Solo

It’s finally Friday folks! It’s time to pack your bags for one last weekend at the beach.

And whoever is staying in town this weekend should have an interesting time thanks to Jay-Z’s big shpiel on the park way.
So to all of you have a great one and make sure you eat something good, and to inspire you here are some snapshots from last week’s class with Michael Solomonov (Zahav, Percy Street Barbecue, Federal Donuts and the soon-to-come Citron and Rose) that I just had to share.
This time Solo brought with him his partner Steve Cook and Zahav’s sous chef Yehuda Sichel to help him out. Solo’s preferred cooking apparatus at Zahav is his charcoal grill, but because we at COOK don’t have one built in, he decided to bring a portable charcoal grill with him. The results are foie gras on forks grilled over an open flame inside the class room!

Yoni
Yoni Nimroad is an eater. The Israeli transplant has satisfied his passion for food by working at a number of Philly’s top dining establishments including Pub & Kitchen and Zahav. When not working at COOK or planning where he’s going to get his next meal, young Yoni stalks the cast of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”. Seriously.

Got something to say? Go for it!
